Did you know that short bursts of movement during the day can be just as important as your main workout? These little bursts are called exercise snacks — and they can transform how your body feels.


Here’s why they matter:


🟠 Break up long sitting (protecting spine & joints)

🟣 Boost circulation, energy, focus and metabolism

🔴 Support strength, balance & healthy ageing


Quick “snacks” you can try:

  • 10 sit-to-stands from a chair

  • 20 calf raises while waiting for the kettle

  • 2–3 min brisk walk around your office or garden

  • 1–2 flights of stairs

  • Gentle desk stretches


💡 Tip: Aim for 2–3 “snacks” every couple of hours.


Even small efforts add up — and can make a big difference to your daily energy and wellbeing.
